Many people ask us how they can help. Those are words we love to hear. Extra hands are always welcome. If you have an interest in working with a team of volunteers focused and dedicated to helping stray and feral cats, send a note of interest to [email protected]. Some areas you may wish to consider include:
- Fostering
We are always in the need of individuals experienced in working with cats who can foster a cat or litter in their personal home. We ask that you have a single/safe room with a door where the cats can be safely housed and worked with. Our fosters maintain the health and increase the social skills of the fostered cat(s) working closely with our foster coordinators. It is a fun and rewarding experience, but it is a big commitment. If you are interested in learning more, send a note of inquiry to [email protected].
- Adoption Events
At times, we conduct adoption events, and, during those events, we need extra hands to help entertain the kittens and answer questions that possible adopters will have. If you are interested in assisting during adoption events, let us know by sending a note of inquiry to [email protected].
- Meet/Greet/Adoption Center Care
One area where we keep and show a sampling of our adoptable kittens and cats is in the cat room at PetSmart in Simi Valley. We can always utilize extra hands in this space: be it to clean the cages, feed/water the cats, play with and entertain them and host or assist at meet and greets with potential adopters. If you are interested in assisting in our cat room in Simi Valley, send a note of inquiry to [email protected]. We need volunteers’ weekdays and weekends. During the week, we require people who are over the age of 18.
- Donations
If you don’t have time, but you wish to contribute money or supplies, we would appreciate it. We depend upon outside donations for medical expenses, food and supplies. No matter what you can donate, we appreciate it, as the more funds we have, the more lives we can save. Pink Paws Rescue & Adoption is headquartered in Thousand Oaks, CA, and is a 501(c)(3) organization with EIN 68-0675638. Donations are tax-deductible.
